American house spider

Parasteatoda tepidariorum

Description:

Female guarding her egg sacs. Pic 2-playing dead. Pic 4 is a male that had similar coloration, but much smaller. I had moved an object to get better pics and I disturbed the web. Seconds latter the male came in to repair my damages. This was unbelievable team work to observe.

Habitat:

Spotted under a porch light.
