Wild Iris

Iris Tenax

Usually purple flowers, but wild irises can also have white, yellow, or pink flowers.

This one was spotted in the forest.

Wild irises bloom in spring, like most irises, but the difference is that wild irises are wild. Tenax means tough, and the wild iris has tough roots.
