Description:

Usually purple flowers, but wild irises can also have white, yellow, or pink flowers.

Habitat:

This one was spotted in the forest.

Notes:

Wild irises bloom in spring, like most irises, but the difference is that wild irises are wild. "Tenax" means tenacious in Latin, and the wild iris has tough leaves.
