Description:

It belongs to the genus Hyllus, in the family Salticidae and is native to India and Srilanka. Female around 8-9 mm is larger than the male which is around 7-9 mm in size. They even prey on other spiders and other insects. Sexual dimorphism is present in Hyllus semicupreus.
