Description:

The adult female is much smaller than the male and is also distinguished by her shorter tail and tawny-brown coloration, which covers the body apart from the darker wings and tail.

Habitat:

Spotted at the Gulf State Park Pier and parking lot. These birds can be found in parking lots, garbage bins and piers along the Gulf and Atlantic Coast of the United States.

Notes:

They are notorious for stealing food from other birds.
