A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Robin or Robin redbreast is a small passerine insectivorous bird, belonging to Old World flycatcher family (Muscicapidae). Some 12 to 13cm in length, easily distinguished by orange face and throat. Belly is whitish, and the coat brown. Sexes are similar.
Seen and heard around a park (Tropicarium in Servion), close to forested area - alpine vegetation and environment. I actually first heard its loud song and spent some fifteen minutes trying to locate it...
