Pin-striped Slug moth

Monoleuca semifascia

Description:

This wee little beastie could fit on my index finger nail! Seemingly a dull brown, it turned out to be a rich iridescent copper when the light hit it just right. There's a little white "W" on the forewing. The abdomen seems to curl upward as well. Fascinating little thing, and I look forward to someone in PN-land telling me what it is. 😊

Habitat:

Silver Springs State Park, Ocala, Florida
