Nitrogen fixing vine. Leaves broadly ovate to orbicular, up to 15 cm, deeply bifid, the lobes obtuse to acuminate. Flowers in dense panicles of corymbose racemes, axis rusty pubescent; hypanthium tubular, striate, puberulous, 2-4 mm; calyx splitting into 2 (or 3) reflexed lobes; petals unequal, orange turning red, obovate, tapering towards the short claw.
