Description:

Round berries with a powdery appearance. A wrinkled, older berry is seen in the second photo. Berries are edible but apparently full of seeds.

Habitat:

Spotted outside the Sterling Munro Trail in North Cascades National Park.

Notes:

This plant's glossly leaves are similar to those of holly.
