Elegant Snake-eyed Skink is a species of diurnal skink, and is endemic to Australia. It's a small species of skink, and because of its size, I thought at first glance this little group was the species Lampropholis guichenoti, aka Garden Skinks. Snake-eyed skinks have fixed clear scales across their eyes, hence their common name. Range is eastern Australia in QLD and NSW, and a narrow coastal fringe of the Great Australian Bight in SA and WA.
This spotting was at a log cabin, surrounded by native bushland vegetation on the edge of Lake Manchester, a freshwater reservoir west of Brisbane. It is located in Brisbane Forest Park, an area of dense native bushland and subtropical rainforest.
The link shows several Cryptoblepharus sp. skinks that are very similar to this spotting. However, this is the only species that occurs in this part of southern Queensland. It has also been documented in D'aguilar National Park (Brisbane Forest Park).

They were happy. Plenty of them too, and all living in the crevices of this cabin.
Obviously a perfect home for them.
