Description:

Found these tiny beetles living inside a mushroom. Derodontus trisignatus is a species of tooth-necked fungus beetle in the family Derodontidae.

Habitat:

Spotted in a mushroom on a tree next to Lake Crescent.

Decision on species by:
1) West coast;
2) pattern + no large spine on neck.

Were you pleased when you found them? - maybe 'Pleasing fungus beetles' ;-)
Actually the antennae don't seem to suit any of those groups.
