Spotting

Description:

This plant appeared to be a bush of a few feet in height. Its bark was textured and moderately rough, being cracked in a few areas. The leaves differed in size and shape, ranging from rounded leaves approximately half an inch in length to inch-length leaves that were narrow and tapered near the ends. No flowers were present on the bush, though a few ants were observed on it. These ants were witnessed on the bush branches; they demonstrated constant movement while remaining in same general location.

Habitat:

This plant was spotted at the lower level of Kailua Baptist Church, outside of the rooms which serve as classes for the Kailua Baptist Preschool. It was enclosed by a few bricks, and growing in dark soil that was dry to the touch. This plant was located relatively close to a strip of cement sidewalk. There were a few pieces of grass sprouting at the base of the bush.
