This is one of the largest dragonfly across North-America. They show blue and white spots along their brown body. Their 2 large 'eyes' meet on top of the head.

Habitat:

Lake Darners prefer sparsely vegetated or woody lakes and ponds, as well as marshes, fens, bogs and slow-flowing streams.
