Description:

Small egg case found on one of the tomato cages in the beginning of May. The Chinese Mantis is an introduced and invasive species in North America. As adults, they are large and aggressive and not picky about what they eat. Some garden places still sell egg cases of this species as natural "pest control."

Habitat:

Suburban garden.
