spotted in oak leaf litter

Notes:

There were other seedlings in the vicinity but with dark glossy green leaves.

Ah yes, and above that new leaves, so mabye a small amount of green will be enough to keep it alive. If it gets big that will be one amazing looking tree with those color leaves! If it is a fruit tree think you could grow it in a pot until its large enough to plant in your yard?

If you look closely the smallest leaf has tiny green flecks. I suspect that it may begin to grow new green leaves.

An albino seedling that's for sure. Sometimes they will grow normal green leaves and survive, but if not they eventually die off. Keep an eye on it if you can to see if it survives!
