Habitat:

Found only in the south most atoll of Maldives, Addu Atoll... (and one more island in Gdh.Atoll)... Make's its home in giant mango trees or breadfruit trees...

Notes:

they say that these birds mate for life... :-) interestingly, there are NO crows, where ever this bird is found... :-)

oh hey bayucca... im sorry about the way i wrote the habitat section... i was referring to the sightings of this bird in the Maldives only... :-)... ofcourse its found in several other neighboring countries... and i dont think its a sub-species cuz otherwise it would be a big deal over here... (u know, being such a small country)... hehe... thanks for you help though... :)

For me one of the most beautiful and elegant birds! But it is not only found on the Maldives, but also Seychelles and other islands in this aera. So maybe you have spotted a special subspecies from the Maldives and then you should to try the exact name for it.

well i assume its a couple... i have a video of them rubbing beaks... flying together... moving around the branches...etc... just the two of them... :-)
