Black-capped Chickadee (territory dispute)

Poecile atricapillus

Notes:

Standing among the spruce, I was enjoying the chica-dee-dee calls and hey-sweety calls...when suddenly I was in the middle of a territory dispute between these two black-capped chickadees. Nearby, was the female making a peeping call. All three were very noisy. The aerial-wrestling match ended in a take down, and I captured the pin, which was held for nearly two minutes. I thought the one killed the other. Ah, spring is in the air. They both survived.

The area must be prime real estate.
