Chilocorus cacti
Black ladybug with red spots. I think I got the correct species, but am not 100% on that.
North Texas sighting.
Hard little bug to photograph. Was quite busy and wouldn't sit still! Very good at disappearing too.

I added another photo (not the best) and cropped the existing photos and uploaded them too. What looks like a white line on the ladybug in the original photos is a part of the plant I think and not the ladybug.
Boo! Oh well, maybe consider cropping these and posting them on BugGuide for ID confirmation.
None of the others I have are worth posting - the detail just isn't there.
Some of them are not very cooperative! If you can find any other views, that may help.
Yep same bug. I don't have many black ladybugs around here and was taking photos of this one before I lost it on the plant.
I have more photos I took at the same time I will look through and see if any are worth adding. Like I mentioned he would not sit still for me. ;)
Are you sure the two images are of the same lady beetle? The one in the first image has white on the margin of the protonum. I don't see any white on the protonum on the beetle in the second image.
Image #1 could be one of the less common forms of Harmonia axyridis: http://bugguide.net/node/view/70564
Second image could be Chilocorus cacti or similar species. From what I have read, you might need to see the ventral abdomen color to help separate species. http://bugguide.net/node/view/372
