Description:

Male: Face- Ochre and metallic blue-green, forehead- iridescent metallic blue, eyes- coffee brown (above) and pale yellow (below). Thorax- rusty brown and laterally- dorsal bluish white pruniscence, legs- Black, Wings- transparent with brown base, Wing spot- Yellow with black border. Abdomen- pruinosed Abdomen with black tip i.e. segments 1-7 have bluish white dorsal pruinescence and remaining segments are entirely black.

This photo is so cool! I have been blessed to have been able to visit Karnataka a few times. I met such wonderful people, and they took me to amazing cultural sites such as ancient temples in Halebeedu and Belur, plus Nandi Hills & Bangalore Palace. But unfortunately I did not get to experience any wildlife. So thanks for showing me what I missed.
