Description:

Although it is not the most common ladybird - I believe the coccinella magnífica is, considering what I´ve seen - it may esporadically be seen around the countryside and city. It's bright colours call people´s attention and children´s curiosity is arouse by this nice little fellows which are regularly picked up. I am not sure about the ID though....

I agree with Mili, Ceci, it depends on how you look at things...and pictures are many times tricky; I can´t see neither the legs nor the spots on this one, it looks more like a button than a ladybird....What is more, DomyungKim thought it was some kind of fruit because it looks so red and on a leave, that might have been another possiblity...it also looks like a pebble just lying around...But, hey, thank you all for the nice comments! Someone showed me a ladybird today at school and wanted to take a picture already by the way, probably it was going to be better than mine...but I was with the microscope and cells ;)
