Beautiful bird!
Beautiful beetles!
A handsome fellow!
What a great find! But if you never saw them before, perhaps they simply weren't there before? Just this week I discovered bats roosting in my backyard. In 20 years of living here, this is the first time they have ever roosted here.

Just for information, the Scarlet-rumped Tanager is now officially split in two species. Passerini's Tanager, Ramphocelus passerinii, is found on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. In the South Pacific part of Costa Rica the species is Cherrie's Tanager, Ramphocelus costaricensis.
Wow! Fantastic shot!
Very pretty beetle!
These are great looking insects, but they are not beetles, so could I ask you to remove this spotting from the Beetles of Costa Rica mission? Thank you.
