It's something I have never seen before. It is the size of a wood duck, but it doesn't look like any wood duck I have ever seen. There are mallards there too. As well as many other types of waterfowl. So, you are probably correct.

No. Usually just five this is the first time there has been six and I have had the box up for 5 years with two sets of eggs each year
