Nice photos. Saw my first juvenile December 2011 near Yuma Proving Ground at a wildlife refuge. Cool day and it evidently was out to sun on the path I was on.

Wild, found it on Snake Road in Southwest Illinois. One of three adults that were sunning outside their den. Close by were four ribbon snakes. We also found two juvenile cottonmouths and a racer outside another den. Look on the web and it has a lot of information about this road.
