I love loons. And all of your pictures are wonderful! What kind of camera and zoom do you have?

They were found on the ground out of the nest. They were infested with mites so I'm not sure if the parents kicked them out or they fell. The parents were not around for several days so they went to a rehab center.

He was when we got him but after he was put in the outside cage the only time we went near him was to feed him and give him water so he slowly became independent (the people that brought him had him for a while and was playing with him...). He hung around the area when he was released but then ventured off.

This one was actually already banded when we caught it. I am actually in the Captive Wildlife Care and Education program. Which is zoos/rehab centers etc. But I've been taking wildlife classes because I almost went into wildlife biology. Fun stuff! I've been mist netting and banding songbirds recently for an ornithology class. And harlequin ducks are beautiful!
