Ahhh... I love this plant. I got one for all of the mothers in my family for mothers day last year. Its called a "sensitivity plant" because the leaves respond to touch. My fiancés family laughed at me when I said I bought them, as in Hawaii it is considered an intrusive weed! :0)

Maybe not a brown widow but a black widow. I couldn't get a shot of its belly. I don't think there was any red hourglass though, so I could see how it might be a false widow. I didn't know there was such a thing;0)

It was in a planter that was kind of eclectic. Had blue flowers but I didn't get a good pix of them

@balincaguinconservancy interesting point. After a little more research I found that this is not a harvestman but a cellar spider which is indeed a true spider. Good looking' out! ;0)
