The blue on the lower part of the hindwing indicates that this is a female. Nice shot!

It could also be the Twelve-spotted Skimmer. It's tough to tell from that photo.

These were the first that I've found since I've seen them and had any idea what they were. We collected a few, then came home to check the ID. They were very good!
