They are pretty common in the canal near Kailua beach too. There they are in less than afoot of water sometimes.

Possibly Istigobius but I am not sure if they are found in the Atlantic.

No, not alive. I teach at an international school and the students bring my critters they find dead in the hallways and on the grounds.
