Beautiful!
Amazing! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!
Fascinating!
I have always called this a blue-tailed skink for obvious reasons and I have been trying to more accurately identify these skinks. I see them all around my house throughout the summer I live in the south-western part of West Virginia, USA and the search I've done online shows me a Blue-tailed skink in Australia, and since NeilDazel commented that this was a Five-lined skink I looked for that as well. maybe "Blue-tailed skink" is just a "nickname for this little guy but I would really like to know officially what he is since we share the same habitat. Anyone have any answers? Closest to West Virginia that got in my search was Northern Virginia. Could be the same species. It is so common here in my area it seems there would be more info. Must be looking at the wrong search engine.
Amazing find...would have done the same, having never seen a caterpillar like this, but what an awesome treat. (even though it stunk :)
What an amazing gift....the flight and the photo!
Wonderful photos!
