ChelseaFox Mule Deer
Mule Deer commented on by ChelseaFox Banff, Alberta, Canada13 years ago

The tail of a white tail deer is all white underneath with dark on top. The white tail with a black tip is a dead give away of a Mule Deer ( also the face shapes and markings can help distinguish, if tails are not visible)

ChelseaFox Old Man's Beard
Old Man's Beard commented on by ChelseaFox Calgary, Alberta, Canada13 years ago

I think this may be "Old Man's Beard".... also known as Clematis virginiana. Although I believe that "clematis virginana" may be a vine, and if this is like what we saw on our walk it would be a shrub, but at least that should give you a start
