i wont venture into handling venomous snakes in casual manner. We have russells viper and saw scaled viper (equivalent to your rattle snakes). You are true regarding the variety of snake bite first aids. And i am pretty much confused myself. There are many expert comments. But i say, rush to nearest hospital for antivenin shots. :)
But about this particular snake, i think the size of their teeth is quite small and not much damage can be done on our skin as well as blood vessels unless the teeth breaks off and remains lodged inside our skin, causing infection.
yup. got nipped once. got fooled by its slow motion act of moving. Strikes faster than it looks.
thank you all. And thanks Nuwan for the ID. This has more resemblance. :)
lovely juvenile GKB. I only found a single specimen of adult here in south once. I guess its rare chance to find one.
thanks Mark. it isn't venomous,,, but in the snake world, the non-venomous ones are mostly more finicky. ;)
yup.. googled it :) even though i had full faith in bayucca.
Thank you AgnesAdiqueTalavera for the ID. :) nice to read through its description of mimicking on wikipedia link.
