A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
I actually spotted this creature at the school where I work. I was observing him with two students and it attacked and killed an earthworm that was on the sidewalk. Thank you for the helpful information. I will definitely make sure that these creatures do not make a home in my garden.
I hope so. Non poisonous right?
Ok. Thank you. Lots of these have popped up since it has been raining a lot in recent days.
Thank you very much! We usually have bad luck with watermelon and cantaloupe, yet have zucchini and cucumbers coming out of our ears. But, this year it's opposite.
Thank you. This is our first good crop of watermelon.
I have never seen anything like it. Is it venomous?
Is Chinese Tallow the common name? We've always called them "Chicken Trees" and some called them "China Ball Trees" but that was just nicknames
Wow! Thanks for the help in identifying this creature. I've seen them around and always wondered what they were. So they are a type of flightless wasp?
How did you get that on your wrist?did it bite you?
I love snakes they are my favorite reptile. the black rat snake is not venomous but it does bite.
