I actually spotted this creature at the school where I work. I was observing him with two students and it attacked and killed an earthworm that was on the sidewalk. Thank you for the helpful information. I will definitely make sure that these creatures do not make a home in my garden.

Thank you very much! We usually have bad luck with watermelon and cantaloupe, yet have zucchini and cucumbers coming out of our ears. But, this year it's opposite.

Is Chinese Tallow the common name? We've always called them "Chicken Trees" and some called them "China Ball Trees" but that was just nicknames

I love snakes they are my favorite reptile. the black rat snake is not venomous but it does bite.
