Kel, if it helps you can submit moths photos taken any time of the year! I believe National Moth Week were considering at some stage adding an event in January for the Southern Hemisphere. Maybe Jacob or Liti can tel us more.

Hi SargonR! A picture of the whole plant and details of the leaves would help, but I think this is Geranium robertianum. It is considered a noxious weed in Oregon.

Can't believe it was that long ago... Both in The Gap and in Ashgrove I lived close to a creek, and I would sometimes find them in my garden. Remnants of the early Jurassic at your doorsteps! Here in Switzerland wall lizards come inside my home. A bit like geckos in Brisbane. I love that my home surroundings counts more wall lizards than humans ;-)

Hi Summer Otom! This is not a stick insect, but a plume moth (family Pterophoridae) at rest. You can guess the third pair of legs lying along the abdomen.

Hi Pieter_vR! This is a male scorpionfly. It has a pair of claspers at the end of its tail which are used to hold females during mating.
