Hi Paul, that other butterfly is a Milbert Tortoiseshell (Aglais milberti). I have full photos of that butterfly in my collection. :-)
Thanks so much. I agree, it does look more like the Plantago lanceolata. I do wish I had taken photos of the entire plant. I just fixated too much on the flower.
