Can anyone tell me if this is a native species to North America or was introduced for it's caterpillar hunter benefits?
I did my term project on this species it is Asclepias syriaca.

This is interesting, there is a plant I have in my woods that is called a jewelweed or a touch-me-not and it doesn't look like this. I suppose ours could be a variation. But, nice ID.
