A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Thank you Paul.
Thank you Maplemoth. Any idea what type of spider it might be? I haven't seen this one before. Thanks :)
I thought it was possibly a scorpionfish.
Thanks everyone - just updated.
A few weeks ago we had another man come around trying to sell one, though he didn't have it with him, so I did not see it. Now I know what it is I was able to tell him it is illegal and that he should return it to the jungle. I doubt very much that he would have but at least he now knows.
It is about 20 times bigger than the centipedes we had back in London!
I said I thought it was a huntsman but the guest said no. I just checked out some more pictures and there are some the same as this one so thank you for the ID.
Are they poisonous?
Not really - there is a stream about 100metres from us so we get frogs in our garden too. But nothing closer. Too late. They just sprayed their room and I went into see the dead one. 8 legs but cant see much as it is all curled up. They will probably have problems sleeping too with the fumes but I understand they were worried.
