Yes, Southern Comma seems to be the English common name of this wonderful butterfly; unfortunately I have not been able to find an Italian equivalent yet.

I would say it is some kind of Sphecidae, subfamily of Sphecinae (digger wasps). I'm not sure, however.

Living in Europe, I instinctively associated this insect to an Oryctes Nasicornis. I had never heard of the Xyloryctes Jamaicensis before. Thanks again!
