A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
James A McNair is correct...Grey Catbird
We were fortunate to experience an irruption of these magnificent birds, here in Southeastern Pa. (and beyond). I was able to see 3 different birds. It also provided a great opportunity to study them. This is a link to the studies being done http://www.projectsnowstorm.org/
Very nice!
Looks like you have a Common Grackle there
@AustinC...I would not have known where to look if not for your suggestion, so thanks!
According to Audubon Wildflower App Lupinus polyphyllus is Blue-pod Lupine and it's range is in the Northwest, this spotting is in Rhode Island. Could this be something else?
As you stated in your Notes, very difficult to locate. I am still trying to find this bird.
The picture with one bird shows a European Starling, in the picture with two birds, there is a European Starling and a Northern Flicker. To view a Flicker you can also find it at www.allaboutbirds.org
