Spittlebug; looks generally like Aphrophoridae, but could be related to the Microsargane group, which resembles Aphrophoridae but is really Cercopidae!

This is a Fulgoridae planthopper...genus Acraephia or Alaruasa (I get those genera confused...!)

Fig. 127 of Thierry Porion's 1994 book: "Fulgoridae 1: Illustrated Catalogue of the American Fauna". Not the best way to ID species, but this one's wing patterns are fairly distinctive....

Great pics! I've suggested an ID - Amantia combusta. I'm pretty sure...the wing pattern looks right....
