Sign In to followi agree declawing is a terrible way to handle a cat problem you take away there main defense and hunting skills.
well luckily for us its really only one cat that hangs around our house we call him dexter and we feed him because during the winter he was still a kitten and would have died along with his brothers and sisters. Now when we know a terrible storm is coming we bring him in a shed we fixed up so he is safe. I guess he is grateful because now he does not leave our property and he is one of the sweetest cats ever when we saw the bird he was playing with he could tell we were very upset and i think like a dog that he does not want to upset us i haven't see him chase any other animals in the past or since this bird incident so maybe he will leave them alone. Thanks for all the comment some really good ideas :)
wow i actually did not know that were i live cats are like squirrels very common. many people have tried to gather them up for there sake and the other animals sake but by the time one gets caught another one is born so its a work in progress.
