Thanks, Yuko :) Yes, it was a beautiful experience seeing these amazing birds in their natural habitat.
@FoTony: Thanks :) I made the 3rd photo as the primary one.
What an adorable creature!
Beautiful!
@Sydes: Thanks for the clarification. That makes sense.
@PerilsOfPlastic: Hi, Emma. Unfortunately we weren't able to agree on a date that would accommodate everyone's schedule so they weren't able to visit. We have to plan again. I just came back from California and will stay in Tanzania until August 2013. I was in Kenya 2 weeks ago but didn't get to visit Kora, Meru, or Masai Mara. I just stopped by the giraffe center and the Sheldrick elephant and rhino orphanage in Nairobi. But I went to Ngorongoro Crater here in Tanzania 3 days ago. It was beautiful. You should see it.
@Sydes: Thanks. I guess this is a helmeted guineafowl and I've edited the posting.
Thanks :) There's always plenty of them in our front yard in the morning and late afternoon. Would take another photo of them that is not as overexposed as these ones.

Thanks for the ID help, Despina.
