Those two species are definately difficult to distinguish from one another! This skink had the two enlarged postlabial scales that the Broadhead does not. I only learned that because the person I was with is a herpetologist lol! I do appreciate the help Conor!

Might want to check that one again? Does'nt look much like a tulip poplar. The bark & trunk look like it could possibly be a black cherry tree?

Spotted touch me not. Juices from the crushed stem sooth poison ivy or stinging nettle when applied to the skin.
