A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
No Asergio, I saw this snake when was still relaxed. With my approach the snake began to erect and to inflate the crop. I know well that species and this is a typical behavior of defense of them.
Must have been a wonderful experience, no doubt!
Thanks for sharing Marta! This is a wonderful species!
You're welcome, friend.

Prabath, this is not a Crested Eagle, this is a Changeable Hawk Eagle (Nisaetus =Spizaetus cirrhatus), even know by Crested Hawk Eagle. The Crested Eagle (Morphnus guianensis) is only found in Central and South America and this photo was taken in Sri Lanka. Both species are very different from each other.
I suggest you fix the identification of species.
Thanks Annvan!
Rubens, acredito que eles continuem fazendo isso lá no Caraça sim. Porém, estas fotos não foram tiradas lá, foram feitas aqui no sul de Minas, no município de Carrancas, em área totalmente selvagem.
