I think this is Diaethria anna, aka "Mariposa 88." We have them in the Yunguilla Valley, EC. The underside of the wings is red, white, and black, with spots that look like the number "88."
And now I had to update it! Got a better verification from Cesar Crash of "Insetologia," the Brazilian equivalent of "What's That Bug?" that this is Dynamine sara. At least we had the genus correct the first time.
