I think this is an Eastern bongo.
Oh yeah, the snow always brings the moose in from the back country.
I think you're right, I think it is the hairy woodpecker, the one in this spotting does not have spots on its tail.
Just checked Wikipedia and it's definitely a downy woodpecker.
