That is not a Dungeness crab...it is difficult to tell, but may be a naked shore crab or an invasive Asian shore crab...or some other shore crab.

I believe the first picture you have is of a naked shore crab, but the second one is definitely a Dungeness crab.

That is a European green crab, an invasive species to the United States. It is a voracious predator and competes for habitat with native shore crab.
