Thanks DanielePralong according to David Redei this species looks quite similar to Poecilocoris latus which is common in NE India, S China and Indo-China, and the two are definitely closely related taxonomically. David Redei also said that "It was described from the Philippines, but in fact it occurs in Borneo and the Malay Peninsula too, as I have seen specimens from those areas. It is apparently very rare, one of the rarest Oriental Scutelleridae, among tens of thousands of specimens examined in many museums, I have seen only about ten of this."
