Not that big (1 1/2 inches from head to tail), but there are various variations of the same type of insect in the area and would like to know if I am justified in giving them a wide berth!

Hi Maria, It was on a path and not everyone on our allotments tolerates nettles. As our own allotment patch doesn't have any I didn't want to risk putting it in amongst some nettles that might soon be removed. That's why we took it to our own nearby nettle patch at home.
Hi Joshua, I've joined but it may be a few years before I'm able to contribute as we live in the UK, we plan to move out to Ecuador in a few years so I'll be back on board then!
