Ook. Now I see what you mean. Thinking painted turtle, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what type exactly.
On a second look, the red spots should've shown already so its not a RES. The other two pics won't load for me so I can't tell from just the head shot.
They look like older turtles. Did they have red markings on their ears?
There's some other related species that lack the markings
If it has/d red markings where his neck is scooched in, it'd be a Red-eared slider
