We are lucky here in the Bay Area to have whales near San Francisco and Monterey. Hope to go to the Philippines one day.
These little devils came down on the beach and took our things when we were in the Manuel Antonio area 6 years ago. Wish I had a better camera back then.
I have never seen a Violet-green swallow around here! There are tree and barn swallows nearby, but I've never seen one at this park in Berkeley. I looked them up. Beautiful birds! I have been practicing for a couple years on photographing hummingbirds, so capturing a bluebird in flight was not too hard.
