Thanks :) I think I'm doing okay finding my way around.
I'm currently working on an ID for this one:

Any ideas? (I have a large property with may pretty flowers growing wildly - not sure if they're friend or foe yet!)

Yep, after looking around I think you're right. The pest control fella reckoned they were 'bush bees' but I can't find any mention of such.

Well, you learn something new everyday. Thanks again martinl, changes made ;)

Thanks martinl - I just googled "Miridae" and the image results contained a few bugs of similar form. I'll keep looking within this family.

Mr.Swift Assassin Bug

martinl - yes, both very similar to this. Differences I would note would be in colour and proportion and shape of abdomen. Mine is definitely brown with no sheen. The abdomen of the black assassin bug appears to turn up around the edges - the abdomen of this brown assassin bug has a consistently round contour.
I'm in no doubt now that it's an assassin bug of some kind - I'd like a more exact ID on species.

Mr.Swift Orange-legged swift spider

He sat still just long enough! He's very small - I've never allowed one close enough to bite me, but from what I've read online they can give a moderately-painful bite leaving redness and swelling but nothing serious.

Thanks LaurenZarate - I just Googled "Assassin Bug" and saw a few which look similar, but no exact match - yet. Will keep searching.
