This one huntsman is a legend.Simply legendary.Appears like the classy leopard among huntsman spiders and I love leopards - from a safe distance i.e.
That's the look of pure evil I say. It's a wolf spider 100%,judging by the patterned eyes arranged in 3 rows(4,2,2).
Huntsman Spider.Fascinating creepy crawlers.
Heteropoda sp. Family Sparassidae.
Holy crap-a-doodles!Excellent shot.I'm marveling at the adaptation of Huntsman's spider. Will this spider mate with ..say a brown or black colored one?
My apologies,Gilma JOF-N, if it sounds so uncouth.I thought I deserved a pat on my back for wiping away that tiny Alien Queen.Initially,I thought it was a Wolf Spider since I had read articles that stated Wolf Spider's eyes glow in the dim light if you flash light towards it .However, even this one had the glow - greenish bluish tinged glow.Only after seeing this pic did I realize it was a Huntsman variant.
Just found a similar one in my house couple of days back.It was black in colour and carried the same oval shaped nest, bubbling with young ones.I promptly poured hot boiling water all over it.The mother survived somehow and hid behind the utensils in the kitchen leaving its young ones behind.I pursued it like a terminator, then threw it out along with the young ones in the oval shaped nest, picking it up with a broom and threw it to the nearby field and washed my hands like a boss.
